Mini Empire
This rustic but soft 4-ply is made with Rambouillet wool grown in New York state. It is spongy with a cottony hand and does have a little chaff (hay) in it, the mill I use doesn't use a harsh chemical wash to dissolve it. It's round, balanced structure makes it great for cables & Rambouillet's sturdy but still fine fibers will wear well in mittens & sweaters for years to come.
Mini Empire is the same great yarn as its big sister, Empire, but put up in 4oz skeins perfect for colorwork, contrast or when you need more than 1260yds. The Mini Empire Heathers are the exact same except the base wool is a blend of black & white.

Hand wash or wash on delicate setting in cool water & lay flat to dry for the longest wearing garment.
