Mohonk Light
This squishable yarn is made from 100% CA grown lamb's wool. Spun up into a 2 ply fingering weight and retaining a little of its natural lanolin, it is a perfect sweater yarn and will retain its body when knit loosely into a shawl. It is spongy-soft and does have a little chaff (hay) in it, the mill I use doesn't use a harsh chemical wash to dissolve it. This is the "little sister" to Mohonk, same fiber & construction just spun at a lighter weight & more yardage.
